An alternative approach
to fundraising

A seminary in New York wanted to get to know their patrons on a personal level. They decided to host a series of ‘Jeffersonian Dinners.’ The dinners center on questions that encourage people to open up and share their opinions in lively small-group discussions. It stated right on the envelope: no pitches, so invitees knew there would be no pressure at the dinner to make a monetary donation.
