Botanical watercolors

To celebrate spring, I’m highlighting a project from a few years ago. I took a deep dive into super-detailed watercolor painting and created a series of botanical illustrations for an exhibition at the Salina Public Library.

I’d not done much watercolor previous to this show, and there was definitely a learning curve. Patience, attention to detail, along with a delicate touch were required. I was happy with the result.

See more detailed views here. Some of the matted 16” x 20” originals are still available.

And since April is National Card & Letter Writing Month, why not get a set of greeting cards featuring five of the illustrations? It’s a nice way to send a personal note to friends and family. They’re blank inside so you can add your own message. Order here (FREE SHIPPING in the US!).
